We specialize in xeriscapes that use Colorado native plants, which are critical for supporting our local pollinators and birds. In most cases, these types of gardens are low-maintenance and don’t need long-term supplemental irrigation. However, native plant gardens can be built in any style!
We especially love planting prairie gardens, which mimic what was here before colonization! Prairie or meadow gardens are as low-maintenance and eco-friendly as you can get. The “green mulch” of the groundcover/grass layer
creates a cool and lush microclimate for showcasing seasonal wildflowers.
Our designs and installs incorporate
hardscaping,
xeric lawns,
rock gardens,
water features,
food forests,
and more.
Ecological landscaping can be xeric (requiring little or NO long-term irrigation), low-maintenance, habitat-friendly, nurturing, and gorgeous.
Even landscapes focused on edible and medicinal plants can combine beauty and function by featuring a mix of native species, useful exotic species, and plants with complementary life cycles and functions.
